Gexa Energy, along with NextEra, strongly believes in the importance of powering strong communities, making them better places to live, work, and raise a family. To help give back and make a difference, on March 20th, 2025, Gexa Energy proudly took part in Power to Care Day. This day reinforced our long-standing commitment to the communities we serve. All employees were invited to participate in a fun service project to help make a positive impact in our local community. The Power to Care initiative remains a critical part of this commitment, reflecting our dedication to providing support and upliftment to those in need.
Partnering with Beacon House
This year, Gexa Energy’s Houston office partnered with The Beacon. The Beacon is a non-profit organization that serves individuals experiencing homelessness by providing daily services, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring, and housing case management. Their mission is to provide essential and next-step services to restore hope and help end homelessness in Houston.
In a collaborative effort to bring about meaningful change in our community, 33 Gexa employees participated in providing service to over 200 people at The Beacon in downtown Houston. Working in a collaborative effort, Gexa helped to provide men, women and children with fresh laundry and a hot meal in a safe environment.
Demonstrating Commitment
Power to Care Day provided an opportunity for Gexa employees to demonstrate our strong and ongoing commitment to give back to the communities where we live and serve our customers. By working together and contributing our time and effort at The Beacon, we aspired to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who need it most. As we reflect on Power to Care Day, Gexa is proud to have come together to show our unwavering support for the mission of The Beacon and the broader objective of building stronger, more resilient communities. We look forward to participating in future community projects.
